Donating Your RV Benefits Cancer Research
Recreational vehicles generally referred as RVs are one such thing which is generally idly parked in the garage area or in the yard after a season or two of use. Don't you think its time to try to make some money out of it for a good cause?
Donating your RV is no longer a problem because many companies help you in many ways. Some of them estimate your RVs over the phone and the deal is over in a single call and some of them even offer to take them right away from your garage rather than you bringing them. And the most important of all is that they are tax-deductible.
There are many good reasons to donate your RV. Some of them being that you get a tax deduction; you can stop paying storage and maintenance fees and also any insurance premiums.
Your vehicle can actually help someone who is really in need. The most common of them being used for researches, to provide education to children and for many lifesaving medical programs.
Donating your RVs for charity really makes the difference with patients surviving cancer. Your donation can actually help them fight against the disease and survive. Donating your RV to any of the charity foundations like cancer charity foundations will help them save many patients and also in funding money for research works that might prevent people from such cancer incidents in the near future.
Not only has it helped cancer patients but also as an aid for many other ailments, cancer foundations being one of them. It has given vision for many children, the vision being both eyesight and education, which is a vision for the future generation.
Added to your advantage, you receive the benefits from taxes and from the worry that one of your more expensive investments is sitting idle.
Donating your RV is one of the easiest ways of telling the world that you really care for a fellow human being. If you could do it then it would be one of the most generous acts from your end. Sharing something with someone who has too little or nothing is a divine act. The satisfaction that you receive from donating your RV for a charity is better than the happiness you received while possessing it.

NLP Persuasion Techniques That Work Like Magic
You might be wondering how NLP persuasion techniques can change your life. First things first, NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. It basically involves influencing change over yourself and over the rest of the world from within.
NLP persuasion techniques have gained massive success over the past few decades, and are now being used in a lot of self-development and therapy sessions. Want to know how to use them effectively? Keep on reading...
NLP Persuasion Technique # 1: Know What Makes People Tick.
Knowing what people like and don't like is an important aspect of NLP persuasion. Since this kind of technique is more subtle, it also has a greater chance of succeeding.
For example, if you want to get a rich old man to donate money to a certain charity, you won't get him to part with his cash just by asking him to (unless he really is the charitable type).
However, if you knew what his weaknesses are (for the sake of proving a point, let's say he has a weakness for beautiful women), you can use them to persuade him to make a donation. Ask one of your prettiest volunteers to do the solicitation or casually remark that women go crazy over charitable and distinguished tycoons.
NLP Persuasion Technique # 2: Invest in Camaraderie.
The word camaraderie is very important in the field of NLP. If you're the kind of person who has no problem chatting up with strangers on a train or a bus, then you probably have excellent persuasion skills.
Also known as building rapport, building camaraderie with people gets you a free albeit temporary pass into their circle of trust. Use your skills to your advantage and don't look back.
NLP Persuasion Technique # 3: Anchor Your Emotions.
The great thing about NLP persuasion is that most of the tactics involved aren't too complicated at all. One example of this is anchoring. Anchoring is basically associating a particular emotion with a gesture, sound, vision, etc.
Case in point: Lila-an introvert who always gets a bad case of yips right before a presentation. In order to help abate her nervousness, she sings Top of the World by The Carpenters because it makes her feel safe and carefree. Turns out that she and her mother used to sing it all the time!
You, too, can attach certain emotions to certain anchors. Just make sure to reinforce the connection plenty of times to cement the association.
NLP persuasion techniques are important breakthroughs in personal development. They help you become a better person and in turn, help you influence others as well.

Donate a Car: The What, The Why, The Where, and The How
Donating a car is one of the most unique and easy ways to give back to the community. If you have a vehicle that you are not using, why not donate it for a good cause? Read below for what to donate, the why you should donate, the where you should donate and how you should donate your unused vehicle.
What You Donate?
Pretty much all vehicles are able to be donated. You can donate cars of any type, trucks, SUVs, RVs, boats, motorcycles and more. What you will need is the title in order to prove that you are the owner of the car.
Why Donate?
One of the first things that people question when they are thinking of donating a vehicle is why. There are many, many reasons to donate items such as these for charity. Donate Car for Charity is part of the Family Care Foundation, which is a nonprofit that assists with many humanitarian goals.
These goals include everything from orphans, AIDs Care, and medical relief. There are also focuses on computer literacy, those who are physically challenged, drug awareness, emergency relief, education and food programs. Finally, there are services for education as well as food programs.
How to Donate?
There are several different ways to donate depending on which program you use, what state you are a citizen of, and how you need to give the car. The very first thing you must do is that which is listed above: determine what item you are going to donate. This of course will depend on your needs and goals.
The next thing you must do when you consider donating a vehicle is to determine the value of that vehicle. According to Donate Car for Charity, you can deduct the entire price that the organization receives when the vehicle is sold. This helps keep you from overestimating or underestimating.
The next portion is form completion. Regardless of whether you donate your car through Donate Car for Charity or through some other organization, there is going to be paperwork.
Finally, the next goal is to insure that you have the title in hand when the vehicle is picked up. The vehicle is to be cleaned and emptied of all possessions. Arrange a time that will work through a towing company.

Driving Your Mercedes Benz Car in the Snow
If you live in Arizona, you don't have worry about how your Mercedes handles in a winter wonderland. Some aren't so blessed, and that means they'll have to consider the weather when they buy their Mercedes car and when they drive it.
Mercedes Benz cars are generally a rear-wheel drive outfit, and that sends chills down the spines of people who have to drive in snow and ice. Fortunately, there's nothing to fear if equip your Mercedes car correctly when your buy it.
Buying right is pretty easy. If you need serious snow and ice handling for a good part of the year, you might consider a 4MATIC all wheel drive model. You'll find these in several body styles, like sedans (C-Class, E-Class and S-Class), light trucks and SUVs (G-Class, GL-Class and M-Class) and the R-Class and E-Class crossovers and wagons. By most accounts from owners living in heavy winter areas like Alaska, the roadsters are poor winter cars, but that's probably obvious to most prospective buyers.
But an all wheel drive model isn't the only option. You can do just fine with a two wheel drive model, despite the rear wheel drive design. All you need to do is winterize your Mercedes car appropriately.
You could probably spend thousands of dollars to winterize your Mercedes, but there's really no need to do that. The Benz engineers have helped you by building in traction control on many models. That helps with acceleration and deceleration.
Other than taking such commonsense measures like trying not to drive in the early morning hours (when it's coldest) and keeping to main roads (which either get plowed better or get more use and, thus, better snow melt), the single biggest step you can take to winterize your Mercedes car is to fit it with good winter or all-weather tires.
Buying winter tires is much like picking out shoes-there are so many options to choose from that it can be bewildering. But two tires seem to stand out.
The first is Goodyear's Eagle Ultra Grip line. These tires were designed with sport coupes and sedans in mind, specifically to improve road traction in wet or snowy conditions. But they're probably fine for a more modest C-Class sedan as well. Sylvie Rainville tried some out on a C-Class for a GuideAuto review, and said it the car performed better than a four wheel drive vehicle with all weather tires.
The second tire you might want to look at is the Bridgestone Blizzak. This is an extensively tested tire designed for winter weather. Their Multicell compound looks like Swiss cheese under a microscope, with uniformly distributed pores to wick away water on the surface of ice and snow and grip the surface better. Mercedes Benz forums are full of recommendations for them as winter tires.
As you might imagine, winter tires are for winter. You'll want to swap them out for summer or all weather tires from roughly mid-April to mid-November in most parts of the United States. You'll have to spend some extra money on tires to have sets for two seasons, but the upgrade in safety is worth the expense.

Before Your Frequent Flyer Miles Expire
Many airlines are adjusting the policies for frequent flyer miles. The miles that you have been saving for a special trip or vacation may soon be at risk. Some airlines send a notice to you by mail, provided the correct address is on file. Other airlines may notify you by email, provided the notice does not get stopped by your email filter. In other cases the airline may not notify you at all. Rather than take chances, review your frequent flyer policy and the status of the miles that you have earned.
The following are a few of the airline policies current at the time of this writing, and are subject to change.
AirTran A+ Rewards expire 12 months after earned, so be prepared to use your miles within the year, or lose them
Alaska Mileage Plan miles expire after 3 years of inactivity, so be sure to fly on Alaska at least once every three years to keep your miles active
Aloha Airlines AlohaPass miles don't expire. Mahalo Aloha Airlines.
America West Dividend Miles expire after 18 months of inactivity, so plan to at least once every year and a half.
American Airlines AAdvantage Miles expire after 36 months of inactivity, so plan to fly American every 36 months if you want to continue earning miles
ATA Travel Awards points expire after 24 months, so use them before the two years are up
Continental offers OnePass and currently does not cancel or expire miles, so save up your miles for a special trip
Delta Skymiles previous program preserved for 36 months have been been reduced to expire after 24 months of inactivity, or until Delta expires, whichever comes first
Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns miles expire after two years of inactivity, thus the appropriately name program, Early Returns
Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles expire after 36 months of inactivity, can you really wait three years to get back to Hawaii?
JetBlue TrueBlue miles expire 1 year after the miles are earned, so you may not get a chance to use your frequent flyer miles, but at least the rates are low
Midwest offers Midwest Miles that expire if no additional miles are earned in 36 months, not very original, but neither is the program name
Northwest Airlines WorldPerks miles expire if none are earned in 3 calendar years, because it may take three years to earn enough points to see the world
Southwest Rapid Rewards credits expire after 24 months, earn them rapidly and use them rapidly
United Airlines Mileage Plus lasts for 36 months until December 31, and then they will expire after 18 months
US Airways Dividend Miles were previously preserved for 36 months, now expire after 18 months of inactivity, just like the America West program
What do you do if your miles are about to expire and you do not have enough for that dream vacation? Spend your miles elsewhere, combine them or donate them. Many frequent flyer programs offer alternative ways to spend your hard earned miles. Many airlines offer the option to cash in your mileage credits for magazine or newspaper subscriptions, or use the credits towards other benefit purchases. Look at the affiliate airlines to determine if there is an opportunity for you to transfer miles to another airline partner and combine your miles for a much deserved getaway.
AirTran Airways, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Midwest Airlines, Northwest Airlines, United Air Lines and US Airways participate in Operation Hero Miles, a program that enables you to easily donate unused frequent flyer miles to family members of wounded troops traveling to military hospitals to visit injured loved ones. For more information, please visit http://www.heromiles.org/
If you choose to donate your accumulated and unused frequent flyer miles to the Red Cross, the IRS even acknowledges this as a donation and a deduction. Just imagine, you can donate unused miles before they expire and the IRS recognizes it as a donation. America West FlightFund members may donate miles in 5000 mile increments into the Miles of Hope Program. Continental makes it easy for OnePass frequent flyer members to donate mileage through the web site or by calling customer service. Northwest Airlines offers two programs, you can donate a minimum of 5000 miles to the Red Cross, or you can donate $50 to the Red Cross and receive 500 WorldPerk frequent flyer miles in return. United Airlines frequent flyers may also participate with a minimum donation of 1000 miles. The frequent flyer miles collected by the Red Cross are used exclusively for disaster response. For more information, please visit http://www.redcross.org/donate/donatemiles.html

Chrysler's Rip Roaring SRT Family of Vehicles
Step back in time some fifty years ago and you would see that the American automotive market was much different than it is today. Three companies dominated the scene: GM, Ford, and Chrysler with the newly formed American Motors making up the bulk of the sales. Volkswagen was new to the U.S. market with its legendary Beetle while Toyota was still a few years away from marketing its very first cars. Although the term "muscle car" wasn't used until the 1960s, a series of "Hemi powered" vehicles from the Chrysler Corporation began to hit the streets. These particular models influenced this unique segment for several years until market changes in the early 1970s effectively eliminated that category. Today, muscle cars are back and the Chrysler Group is leading the way with its expansive line up of SRT vehicles. Although consumer tastes have changed as has the overall automotive market, Chrysler's SRT family of vehicles remains a popular choice for performance enthusiasts everywhere. Read on and we'll explore the vehicles that are shaping the new muscle car era.
Several years before Daimler-Benz and the Chrysler Corporation merged to form DaimlerChrysler, a team of Chrysler employees was tasked to invigorate the automaker's line up with bold and exciting models. The first vehicle produced by "Team Viper" was the Dodge Viper, Mopar's answer to the Chevy Corvette; a few years later it was followed by the Plymouth Prowler, a limited production retro-style roadster produced by a parallel group, "Team Prowler". Clearly, Chrysler was attempting to erase its uninspiring K-car image with the production of these two models and although production was very limited, the vehicles managed to positively impact the Dodge and Plymouth brands.
Team Viper and Team Prowler later merged operations to become SRT - Street and Racing Technology - a high performance automotive group that is part of the Chrysler Group at DaimlerChrysler. Although the Plymouth brand was eventually dropped, DaimlerChrysler decided to expand the SRT line up to include certain vehicles sporting Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler nameplates.
So, what qualifies a vehicle to wear the SRT designation? Several things including:
--Potent engines. Only the most powerful engines are reserved for SRT vehicles. While some are normally aspirated, many have been turbocharged or supercharged to beef up horsepower.
--Responsive handling. Relying heavily on its Mercedes connection, the SRT team employs state of the art steering and suspension systems in every model. Add in more powerful brakes and you have a vehicle that masters every turn and stops on a dime every time.
--Bold styling. No ordinary vehicle is eligible for the SRT treatment as massive aluminum wheels, front and rear spoilers, and bold air intakes are included to enhance performance. On the inside, race inspired aluminum pedals and sports car derived seating gives SRT drivers a true performance feel to match the energy brimming underneath every hood.
Currently, the SRT line up includes the following models with more vehicles expected to receive that designation:
Dodge: Ram SRT10 Quad Cab; Ram SRT10 Regular Cab; Viper SRT10 Coupe; Viper SRT10 Roadster; Charger SRT8; and the Magnum SRT8.
Chrysler: 300C SRT8; Crossfire SRT6 Coupe; and Crossfire SRT6 Roadster.
Jeep: Grand Cherokee SRT8.
Much like the muscle car era of long ago, SRT enthusiasts are beefing up their already potent vehicles with nifty aftermarket parts and supplies including supercharger systems, exhaust headers, cat-back exhaust systems, cool air intakes, lowering kits, traction bars, and more. Popular aftermarket performance suppliers are matching the introduction of every SRT model with new products of their own. Definitely, the SRT crowd is a unique group of automotive enthusiasts who simply won't settle for the status quo.
The Chrysler Group will be changing the SRT line up over the next several years with the introduction of three more Dodge models: the Caliber SRT4, the Avenger SRT6, and possibly a version of the Nitro SUV - Dodge's twin model to the Jeep Liberty. Last but not least, the ultimate blending of two generations of muscle cars will become evident when the Dodge Challenger makes its debut within the next three years. Yes, an SRT version of this most desired retro coupe will also find its way into the classiest of new classics.

How to Donate Used Cars
Donation of used car is an easy way of disposing them without a lot of hustle. Critics in the United States claim that by donating a car is another way of tax shelter.
When an individual decides to donate used cars, it is easy to process ones lawful IRS deduction in tax, it is important to report to the required authorities when intending to donate in order not to cause confusion in the motor vehicle registration department.
When a person donate used cars is an easy way of avoiding running up and down advertising and making phone calls trying to sell a car.
Some of the advantages of donating used cars is that it helps find missing children, support decisions that make the community a better place for growing children and even avoid children going missing even in the first place.
There are those organizations known as donation program where cars, trucks, boats and trailers may be donated. When a person decides to pledge a donation, the matter is taken up by vehicle donation processing center where all the paper work and documentation are handled.
Payments for all the administering of the program are handled by the organization a person is dealing with. When one decides to donate used cars, an individual tax is reduced by about $654 million per year in the US only.
Because most people donate vehicles with an intention to have an upper hand on tax deductions, the donor needs to go through some requirements on the post donations in order to qualify for the tax deduction.
This is supposed to be accompanied by a written acknowledgment in order to itemize the tax return rather than taking the standard deduction. Mostly deduction amount comes from the donors estimate value of the car.
This makes the charity to have no option but to sell the vehicle at a low price. It is compulsory to attach the charity's written details on their tax returns for vehicles valued more than $500.
A donor is at liberty to choose from more than 300 non profitable organizations that make the whole process easier.
Some organization donating programs have their own car yards that strictly deals with the selling of the donated cars while others have auction donating companies that carry out the whole process.
This processing or donating company usually takes a percentage of the sale value of the vehicle.

Do You Ever Think About Donating a Car?
How many people think about donating cars when it comes to giving donations? Many of us feel good when we donate clothes, household items, and money to our favorite charities and causes. Donating a car to reputable charities can help a cause or organization in a great way. It also benefits the person who donates and the non-profit organization that creates funds for the cause or organization of their choosing.
When you donate a car, it allows for the owners of the car to use their donated car in order to gain tax deductions when it comes time to file a tax return. At the same time, this very generous donation will aid in fulfilling the needs of charities.
When people decide to buy new cars, they often find themselves in a situation where they must sell, trade in, or just get rid of their old car. We often find ourselves in positions where we end up selling our car or trading it in for far less than what it is worth just to get it off our hands. This can often lead to a feeling of guilt, but it often comes with few other options to turn to. When you donate your car, many reputable car donation services will give you money back based on a percentage of what your car is worth. This is then blended with the great feeling of knowing that you are giving a very large donation that will make a very big contribution in the lives and situations of the company's cause or organization.
Donating a vehicle to an organization is a wonderful way to give back and gain a feeling of satisfaction. It is advised that in order to get a tax deduction, that you donate to qualified organizations and car donation services. Many qualified organizations include churches and other religious foundations, local and state governments, non-profit schools and hospitals, all well-known organizations such as the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Goodwill, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, United Way, and so many more.
Donating cars has become a very simple task through car donation services. Many of these services can help you complete your full transaction online. They will also pick up your vehicle free of charge in most circumstances. These car donation companies are making the process as simple as possible for our busy lifestyles. People find donating cars a more pleasant and rewarding experience. Many people find they don't get what they should get when selling or trading in.
Many people feel that they don't often have enough money to donate. Many don't have the normal donation items that are given to people in need. Giving a car that you would otherwise not get a lot out of, is a great way to make a huge dent in the lives of people and organizations in need. When giving a car, not only are you making a lasting impact, but thinking outside of the box in the world of donations.
The American Relief Foundation invites you to help us provide poor children around America with support they need. If you lost your car title and cannot donate we have an excellent resource to link you directly to your DMV page to order a duplicate car title. We are looking for a New Jersey Car Donation to help our cause. Please if you have an unwanted car consider a car donation.

The Importance of Helping
There are many people who like to donate things to the poor and needy because they are blessed with every comfort and know that others are struggling, but there are some people who don't like to donate anything in their life for homeless people because they only live for themselves. It is everyone's duty to give to help poor children who are less fortunate, though. If you are helping someone in their need, then you are doing the right thing by providing them with the essentials. In this world it is a fact that whatever seed you sow, that's the sort of fruit you'll get.
So, if you are ready to help people then you'll also get someone to help you in your hour of need. Things changes with the passage of time, bringing new situations to everyone's lives. Sometimes we need help ourselves, but if you haven't done anything for others then who will help you?
There is a way to you to help poor people that's easy to do. These days, many organizations are arranging charitable programs to which you can donate a vehicle when it's of no use to you - and they even give you the opportunity of a tax deduction. You can bring help and comfort to thousand just by donating your old car. They can use your car for transporting food and other necessities to poor and homeless children or even sell it to raise needed money for them.
Your car donation will be the best benevolent act of your life because of how much it can help people. Choose your charitable organization wisely, because you want to do the most good for people.

Car Charity Initiatives - The Perks
Are you tired of thinking how to handle and properly dispose your old car? You should not be considering selling it as doing so would definitely be not a win-win option for you.
Surely, you would be able to generate cash, but there are just too many risks and procedures, you surely would end up resenting you ever put up the used car for sale. Taxes could also chase after you, plus the tediousness and setbacks of possible ownership transfer woes. Thus, it is high time you do a car charity initiative.
A car charity initiative would have you donate your used car to a charitable institution of your choice. Nowadays, almost all charities are openly and willingly accepting such donations. Used cars are fast becoming a popular form of good deed donation, as owners use the car charity initiative as an effective and convenient means to dispose the used car.
Now, there is no need to find prospective purchasers or put up an act to be nice and perky to do some sales talk to convince a prospective purchaser.
To do a car charity effort, all you have to do is to choose a reputable and helpful charity where you would donate the used car. Donating an old car to a charity is like donating actual money. The charity would then arrange to sell the old car to be able to raise proceeds.
You know that charities need money to operate and continue helping causes. Because they are not businesses, they are doing activities to solicit alms and donations in cash or in kind.
The government is mainly very supportive of car charity initiatives. As such, it is offering perks and incentives to generous donors. The most a government can do to help is through offering and providing tax breaks and incentives to car charity donors. Thus, when you donate your old car, you are generating tax breaks. This for some is like a form of repayment for the donated old car.
Why do people tend to make car charity donations? First comes the humanitarian reasons of donating generously to help other people in need. Second, it is a fact that most car donors donate old and cranky cars for the tax incentives. Third, doing so is the most convenient way of disposing or getting rid of an old car.
Imagine what space you have to secure in your garage just to keep that used car. That space could practically be converted and put to good and productive use. You would also not worry anymore about refurbishing, reconditioning and auto detailing your old car. Doing such revival and improvement moves would definitely cost you some fortune.
All you have to do is to call a car charity of your choice. Raise your intentions to donate an old car. The personnel would keep you for a few minutes to get your details like your address and other important information.
In a matter of days or house, personnel from the charity would be at your front door to pick up the old car for donation. Just fill up the forms, provide ownership titles and surrender the old car key. It is time to say goodbye to your old car now.

How to Donate a Car to Charity and Get a Tax Deduction!
If you want to donate a car to charity maybe because you don't have time to sell it or you don't think you can get what it's worth or just don't have the time to bother with it or you want to use it for an income tax deduction here are a few tips you should know.
First check with your local charities and see if they can accept car donations. This is the same if you have a truck, boat, RV, motorcycle, airplane or other vehicle you want to donate. Some are set up to sell them on their own lots or have use for them within the organization to carry goods and/or people during their business day.
For those charities that are not set up to handle donations they hire companies that are set up to resell your car, usually called car donation brokers through car donation programs. If you seek them out know that they may keep 50 percent or more of the value of the vehicle. However since so many charities aren't set up to handle these donations they hire them and get profits they wouldn't ordinarily get, so the charity does gain some monies. You can always ask the broker how much of the profit is passed on to the charitable organization.
Make sure to ask if the charity is IRS-approved 501 9(c) (3) or is a qualified religious organization such as a church, temple or mosque in order to accept the donation.
Once you know what charity you're going to donate it to, you can save the charity some money by dropping off the car or vehicle yourself. Some charities charge a removal fee and you can avoid this. Make sure to pass the title on to the charity and sign it over with their name to prevent future legal problems.
If the car or vehicle is worth more than $500, that you can claim a charity tax donation. You want to check the Kelley Blue Book to make sure you know its fair market value.
Make sure to take pictures of the car inside and out for your records.
If your car is worth more than $500 then you'll need to file IRS form 8283 with your tax return. If it's worth more than $5000 then you'll also need an appraisal. So check the IRS form for exact details. You'll also need your charity receipt and a copy of the change of ownership in the title.
This is basically how to donate a car to charity. If you're careful in filing any necessary paperwork, documents, and IRS forms and keep copies of everything, have proof of the value and take care to check all the details you should benefit greatly as will the charity.

Car Donation Tax Write Off
So the deduction for donating a car is based on the Fair Market Value (FMV) of your car. They are many ways you can get that value for your car. The most common way would probably involve you going to the internet, and there is a number of websites out there that allow you to enter your vehicles information. Information like the type of vehicle, the year, the model and then they calculate the fair market value.
The IRS has a list of organizations that are qualified as donors, these are the only organizations you can donate to and guarantee a deduction from the IRS. However there is an exception to the rule, churches, temples, mosques and governments do not have to be on that list for them to qualify as places you can donate to. Most of the time, you are most likely going to be donating a vehicle to some kind of church, so you do not have to worry yourself with the list.
In order to get the benefit of the vehicle you have to itemize on your tax return instead of doing the standard deduction. So make sure you are doing that, otherwise it is not going to be worth doing a donation, you will be better off selling your car. You need to be honest about the Fair Market Value of your vehicle because the IRS will look for supporting documentation, including how you came up with the value.
You also have to document your donation. Get a receipt from the place you are donating to and on that receipt you should have the date, amount, address and your phone number. If you do not have that information the IRS has every right to disregard the claim. The IRS publication 4302 provides in detail further rules and guidelines.

Car Donation - The Benefits and Why You Should Do It
Why on earth would someone want to donate a car? You might ask this question, but there are many reasons, including tax benefits, being charitable or saving time. Perhaps your vehicle isn't worth much to you, but having it sold for charity is worth a lot to them.
The IRS will give a tax refund of $500 or the sale value of the car if you decide to donate it. You fill out a car donation form and you can allocate your charity from a list of eligible organizations that you want the sale to benefit. You will receive a receipt that qualifies you for the IRS tax rebate, so there is a guaranteed $500 for your car, possibly more. There will be no hassles, no running ads in the newspaper and having people come over to test drive the vehicle and no worries about trying to barter the price or having to pay for last minute repairs.
Most charities will choose to sell the donated vehicle, in which case you can deduct the amount they receive for it. If they decide to use the vehicle for a purpose within the charity, you will be able to claim the fair and average market value at the time you donated the car. They will take into account the current condition of the car and how much you could get if you sold it. That means if there is damage or if it needs repairs, it will be deducted from the value for your car donation tax rebate.
If the vehicle sells for or is worth more than five thousand dollars, you need to fill out an 8283 and 1040 form, plus have an official written valuation, and your form needs to be authorized at the highest levels. If the value or sale price is between $500 and $5000, you would fill in the 8283 form and the standard 1040 that is for all vehicle donations, but you do not need the written appraisal. For cars worth under $500 or sold for that amount you would fill in a 1040 only, along with a written acknowledgment from the charity as to the sale or the use of the vehicle.
Donating a car to a charity car yard can be a lot easier. Simply choosing the charity and leaving the car with them to sell saves you possible hassle. If they need to do any repairs, it will be deducted from you tax rebate and added to the sale price. This means you can't profit from sending in a broke down vehicle in bad need of repair expecting to deduct the full sale value once it has been fixed.
This can be a great option if you are short on cash and want to sell your car but need a couple of repairs. Be upfront with the charity car dealer and let them know the problems. Tell them you are happy for them to deduct the costs of fixing the problems from your tax rebate, and they will appreciate your honesty. Charity car dealers will often have all the paperwork you need to apply for your car donation tax benefit on site.
It's not all about the tax benefits though. Donating your car is a rewarding and charitable thing to do. The money raised, sometimes thousands, is donated to your charity of choice, whether directly from you or through a charity car dealership. That is a lot of meals or clothes or money towards research or whatever the charity of your choice contributes to. Not all charities do fall under the qualification for the tax rebate, but most do and the lists are available from the IRS website or the charity dealerships.
Next time you are considering selling your vehicle, think about a charity donation. If you do donate your car, there are definite benefits for the organization of your choosing and yourself at tax time. You may even decide to do it close to the end of the financial year so it doesn't take too long for you to see the refund! Alternatively the money can come off your tax debt! It is like having an easy sale for your car but just receiving the money for it a while later.
But instead of grinding the figures and crunching the numbers, why not make the decision from your heart? You will get some reimbursement, less hassle, and be doing a very good deed for those in need. Be spontaneous and giving, and next time you are changing over vehicle, donate your used car to an eligible charity of your choice.

The Inflatable Kayak - Your Portable Kayak
One advantage of inflatable kayaks is that they can be transported by hand using a carry bag. This is the perfect type of kayak for those who do not have enough space in their garage to put a hardshell boat in. Since it does not require much space for storage, many outdoor enthusiasts find inflatables as their top choice from among all the types of kayaks. Inflatable kayaks are usually made of Hypalon, PVC, or polyurethane coated cloth. To inflate it, you can use a foot or hand pump that usually comes with the kayak, or for an easier way to inflate it, you can use an electric pump.
Many experts would recommend the use of inflatable kayaks for rivers and calm waters; however, more advanced models are able to withstand rocky waters, and some of these kayaks may include structures similar to those found in a folding kayak. New inflatable kayak designs made with such an internal frame can make the hull more rigid and sea worthy.
Some users of inflatable kayaks may question their stability, which is not something that they have to worry about since they are stable with a small turning radius. Aside from it being portable, it is also easy to master. The downside however is that it takes more effort for users to paddle. Compared to other types of kayaks, inflatables are usually wider and slower. So this is not really recommended for advanced users who are concerned about speed.
When shopping for an inflatable kayak, it would help a lot if you know what type of water you will be in most of the time. Some inflatables are designed to be more sea worthy and others are better for rivers and calm waters. There are some, however, that can perform in all types of water, but then again you may want something for a certain water type. The type of kayaking activity will also point you to the right direction when shopping for a kayak. You should know if you will be geared toward flatwater kayaking or maybe river kayaking where there may be rapids. Once you are able to know and determine such factors, it will be easier for you to narrow down your choices for inflatable kayaks.
Another factor that will help you when buying an inflatable kayak is by reading reviews. There are a lot of manufacturers and models, and reading reviews will greatly help in knowing the performance of each brand and model, and whether or not they are worth their value. The rule of thumb when reading reviews to consider the source of any positive or negative review before deciding that the kayak is the best one for you. Asking for expert's advice is also a good way to find out more information about these kayaks. Representatives and sales people, for example, can often give you the sound opinion and good recommendations of good manufacturers and models for the inflatable kayak that you are looking for.

Car Donation Charities That Handle Car Donations
Car donation to a non-profit organization is and has been an overlooked opportunity to benefit on both sides of this contribution for many years. The car donor and the recipient benefit simultaneously. The person who donates their car to charity can deduct a value from their taxable income and the recipient obviously benefits by making use of the vehicle.
Car donation can include virtually any vehicle you wish to donate. You can donate a car, donate a truck, donate a motorcycle, and even recreation vehicles like a boat or an RV.
Donating a car to charity is a great way to rid your driveway of an unused vehicle, plus you are clearing the clutter around your home. There's no need to accumulate cars that could be donated to charity.
Helping the less fortunate and knowing that you have contributed by improving their quality of life with a tangible gift, one that they can put to good use, is far more personal and you can be assured that the donation has gone directly to a recipient. So many charities have administrative costs and fees that often consume cash donations and the intended recipients may not actually see the fruits of your efforts.
Car donation charities actually enlist the help of towing companies specifically, for pick-up and delivery of donated cars, to make the car donation process all the more convenient for the car donor.
If you currently donate to a charity such as the American Heart Association, Saint Jude hospital, American Cancer Society, or any number of organizations, you can donate your car and designate what charity you want to the contribution to benefit. That way you can be specific about who receives your donation. Giving becomes much easier when you know where your money is going and being spent.
Each state has car donation organizations in place for donating, pick-up, and delivery of your unwanted vehicles. To learn more about car donations and their benefits, visit the blog listed below.

Secure Your Vehicle
When you are getting ready to go somewhere or are preparing to arrive somewhere, you need to make sure that everything in your vehicle is secured in an area that is not visible to outsiders who may be walking by your car and looking in the windows.
Ideally, when you want to go out anywhere, and you are driving your personal vehicle, you should always make every effort to secure everything in your car before you leave. The reason for this is because criminals will often scan parking lots or other common areas and will actually watch people as they sit in their cars and fidget around while they try to hide whatever it is that they don't want you to see. However, what they don't realize is that it is too late; someone is watching where they are putting their various items.
There are various items that people carelessly leave out in their vehicles such as cell phones, loose change or actual paper bills and jewelry to name a few. Why jewelry, you may wonder? The simpler explanation for why this is most often an occurrence is due to the fact that when many people go to the gym or go to a park to exercise, they will often take off their rings, earrings, bracelets and/or necklaces so that they are less restricted while they exercise or work out. However, what they often fail to realize is that jewelry is something that you should really take care of ahead of time at home. For example, if you know that you want to attend the gym to work out and you are not a person who likes to wear jewelry while you exercise, make sure that you store it before you get into your car. If you, for some reason, prefer to keep it in your vehicle, then at least make sure that you bring an opaque bag to put the items in, or at best, place your jewelry out of sight in an area of your vehicle that is covered such as your glove box, under your seat or in the middle console area (if it is covered).
There is no reason why you shouldn't secure your vehicle. Whenever you exit your vehicle, you should always conduct a quick, last minute scan of everything inside of the car to make sure that there is nothing tempting that is left out- even things that you may not think are tempting to a thief. When I was a police officer, I responded to call of a car break in. It turns out that the person had just come back from the laundry mat and had a bunch of clothes careless thrown in the back seat of their car. The person who broke into their car walked by and glanced in the window. Seeing all of the clothing strewn about, the thief actually thought that the person was trying to cover something up, and therefore, the thief broke into the car. Whenever you are traveling somewhere, make sure that your car is locked and that you leave your vehicle looking as empty as possible so that no one is even remotely tempted to break into it.

Movie Review - Maria Full of Grace
Filmed mostly in Colombia, Maria Full of Grace is a dramatic movie about the illegal drug industry occurring between Colombia and the United States. The movie was released in 2004 and is approximately 90 minutes long. Maria Full of Grace effectively portrays the differences in lifestyle between the United States and South American countries with much smaller GDPs (Gross Domestic Products). Viewers will see the extremes that people will go through to get drugs through customs and make extremely large amounts of money.
In the beginning of the movie, we get a feel of what Maria's daily life is like in Colombia. She works in a flower shop, removing thorns from roses. Her boss walks the isles of his workers all day long asking for more production and asking if his workers are meeting their quotas. Maria returns home every day to a small home with approximately three rooms which she shares with her mother, two sisters, and baby niece. She also has a boyfriend named Juan who does not have much of a promising future and has a happy-go-lucky attitude. Juan and Maria walk the town often and stop to kiss or climb onto rooftops to gain some privacy.
The director portrays an active nightlife in the Colombian city where Maria lives. She and Juan often go out drinking and dancing at various parties or clubs with Maria's little sister Blanca. Juan usually drinks too much and does not pay much attention to Maria, leaving her to find guys for her female friends and for Maria to get hit on by other young men at the parties. She seems like a young woman who has morals and is wiser than most of her friends leading the viewer to think that she and Juan will not make it together. This is especially evident when a young, hip guy named Franklin approaches her and attracts her attention unlike most other guys. Franklin and Maria end up parting ways but will meet each other again.
Maria and Juan are obviously very attracted to one another, and while Maria is talking to Juan in private one afternoon, she tells him she is pregnant with his child. Juan reacts to this news in a very immature way, first becoming angry, then by asking Maria to marry him. He feels like it is his responsibility and the right thing to do at the moment. She does not say yes to him because she feels he is not being genuine and does not really want to get married. She leaves and returns to her job, where a bad situation becomes much worse. Her boss is constantly looking over her shoulder again causing her to become irritated and to quit her job. She returns home to argue with her mother and sisters who accuse her of being selfish since the family is in serious need of money.
A frustrated Maria leaves home to think about a new job and passes Franklin on his motorcycle. She gets on the motorcycle with him and they ride to the city together to have a drink and talk to one of his friends. It is clear at this point that Franklin is trying to sweep Maria off her feet and that she is really enjoying his relaxing company. The two end up going to a dive bar where a Mafia-looking man is sitting in the corner. Franklin approaches him and gets the man to agree to talk to Maria for a moment. The dirty looking man is heavily involved in cocaine trade and offers Maria a job. She lies about her age, saying she is eighteen when she is really only seventeen, and says she will gladly work for him. The man gives her several hundred dollars to show that his word is good and tells Maria to meet him at a local doctor's office in a few days. Maria is more relaxed at this point and returns home to donate some of the money to her needy family.
Maria Full of Grace really becomes interesting when Maria arrives to the doctor's office a few days later. She is led upstairs by secret passageway where the doctor and the drug lord are waiting for her. The doctor asks her to swallow a lubricating fluid and a pill that will slow down her digestion process. The drug lord, whose name is Javier, asks her to swallow a total of sixty two pellets coated in synthetic rubber and full of cocaine. She struggles while swallowing all of the pellets, but manages to get them all into her stomach and onto a plane to New York. Once in New York, she will fully digest the pellets and wash them off before handing them off to drug distributors.
On the plane to New York, she sees two other drug mules she knows, a woman named Lucy and her little sister, Blanca. Blanca is only sixteen years old, but knows that if she can make it through this trip that she has the chance to make over five thousand dollars. In a country like Colombia where people do not have the opportunity to make much money, five thousand dollars can change one's life. While Maria and Blanca have major stomach pains during the flight, Lucy becomes seriously ill. The plane lands in New York where the girls know they need to digest the pellets quickly, especially for Lucy who is in danger of dying from one of the pellets breaking open in her stomach.
However, Maria looks suspicious when walking through customs at the airport in New York. The police and customs agents pull her into an examination room to begin questioning her in Spanish. She denies that she has any form of drugs in her body, but cannot produce a believable story to the agents. Maria is forced to give a urine sample to rule out drugs in her system where the agents discover she is pregnant. The agents really want to do a CT scan on her stomach to look for capsules or pellets holding drugs, but quickly rule this out due to her pregnancy. Luckily, Maria is released from the customs office and meets up with Lucy and Blanca.
The three young females meet again in a hotel room where the drug distributors are staying. The men watch the three young women and wait patiently for them to digest the drug pellets and clean them off. Maria and Blanca produce the pellets quickly, but Lucy is still in serious danger. It turns out that a pellet has leaked open into her stomach where she received a lethal dose of cocaine. While she is in the bathroom, she passes out and dies under the shower's water stream. The young men send Lucy and Blanca out of the room briefly, and when they return to the room they are terrified. Lucy is gone, but there is blood all over the tub and a sense of death in the room.
At this point, Maria and Blanca grab their cocaine pellets and run out of the hotel. They find Lucy's sister in a random apartment building and manage to stay there for several weeks. Lucy's sister puts the two young women in touch with a local man who has a way of finding jobs for young Latina women without much prospect for finding a job. He finds out that the two women are drug mules and are holding mass amounts of cocaine in their purses, and also informs them that Lucy was in fact gutted and killed in the hotel so the young men could recover her drugs.
Maria and Blanca are terrified and know that if they do not do the right thing, that they too will be killed. Therefore, they contact the drug distributors and hand over the cocaine pellets. After accounting for all of the pellets, the young men do the fair thing and pay both of the girls the full amount of money owed to each. Maria feels guilty for taking advantage of Lucy's sister and grateful for being allowed to stay in the woman's apartment, so she gives a majority of her money to Lucy's sister. This money is intended to repay her debt to the woman, and more importantly, to pay for Lucy's funeral.
Now that Maria and Blanca have money to return home to Colombia with and have safely resolved the situation with their cocaine pellets, they must return to the airport and leave New York. They safely make it through customs this time and are ready to board the plane when the two young women have an argument. Blanca is still immature and does not realize that she can do better in life than being a drug mule. Maria has come to her senses after talking to Lucy's sister and realizes that life as a drug mule or life back in Colombia really is not a life at all. She now knows that there are more opportunities for her in the United States and especially in New York. While Blanca boards the plane and waits for Maria to board, Maria turns around without saying a word and vows never to leave the United States. This is a very dramatic point in the movie where Maria shows that she has learned her lessons in life and now wants to have a better life for her and her baby on the way.
Maria Full of Grace provides a chilling account of what life is like in Colombia, especially for a drug mule. It is also clear from watching this movie that there is an extremely large amount of money involved in the illegal drug industry. Research shows that a large amount of drug mules are captured in customs and on the United States borders, but the drug lords still manage to make billions of dollars every year. The mark up on their product is so large that they can afford to lose almost half of their product when drug mules are caught every day in the United States. Maria Full of Grace is not just a story of a poor family who look for better opportunities by being drug mules; it is an accurate account of the extremes people will go through to make money in poor areas. While many people make large amounts of money by producing and trafficking drugs in countries like Colombia, it is still illegal and extremely punishable in the United States. The risks are great and include imprisonment for life, or death. Due to the simple plot and drama involved in the movie, Maria Full of Grace is rated a 3.5 out of 5.
